Want to know how I quit drinking coffee and got more energy so I could manage my money and enjoy my life? In fact, it is one of the best ways to get a healthy dopamine hit!
Welcome to “The Amazing Matcha Tea Latte”!
In today’s episode, “Matcha Tea Almond Latte,” you will learn all about this healthy, easy–to–make drink that will leave you energized and calm (You get the caffeine but without the crash that often comes with it!).
When I began studying the health benefits of green tea and how it can help with our performance, I became intrigued to learn more.
The benefits of matcha tea are amazing, including antioxidants, fiber, and L-theanine, to mention a few.
Green tea leaves and extract are found in many weight management and diet supplements because they curb appetite. The fiber in matcha is good because most people need more fiber in their diet. L-theanine increases alpha brain waves, allowing us to relax while awake.
How to Make a Matcha Tea Latte
The matcha latte recipe is quite simple. Its vibrant green color and smooth taste
makes this a healthy drink deliciious.
1. Choose your matcha powder
Organic is ideal. Some want ceremonial-grade matcha, but since ceremonial matcha can be hard to find here, culinary-grade can suffice.
2. Gather your ingredients and tools
You will need a bamboo whisk or blender to mix the green tea powder and get it to the correct consistency for matcha tea. You will also need a sieve to sift the matcha and your choice of coconut, almond, or oat milk for the best mixture.
3. Combine half water and half milk
Mix the hot water and warm milk, which could scorch the fine powder and give it a bitter taste. Many people like to froth the milk with a milk frother.
4. Add the matcha powder
While the liquids are heating, add 1 – 2 teaspoons of matcha powder. Some people sift the powder into a mixing bowl to remove clumps, while others blend it.
5. Mix and enjoy!
After your liquids are ready, pour a small amount of each (2 ounces of each) into your matcha powder and gently mix with your bamboo whisk or blender. You know you’re doing it correctly when a frothy layer of small bubbles forms on the surface of your mixture.
Finally, pour the mixture into a cup and enjoy. If desired, pour the mixture over ice for an iced matcha latte. If the taste is too bitter, try adding a drizzle of coconut sugar (lower glycemic load), honey, or maple syrup to taste.
