Benefits of Lemons
Lemons are rich in vitamin C, an essential nutrient supporting the immune system and healthy skin.
Lemons also help to reduce waste and fluid buildup in the body, making them perfect for detoxification and improving gut health.
The citric acid in lemons acts as a natural immune system cleanser, which can help reduce the risk of infections.
Benefits of Ginger
People primarily consume ginger to help with digestion. Ginger contains gingerol and shogaol, which both help relax the gastrointestinal muscles.
For ages, ginger root has been used as a natural remedy for nausea. Ginger can help with the effects of pregnancy and post-operative recovery.
Ginger also contains compounds that reduce pain in muscles or joints. This can be beneficial for those who suffer from arthritis or who need aid with muscle soreness.
Ginger can also help heart health by dilating blood vessels and lowering cholesterol levels. This enhances blood circulation, which can help reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Benefits of Lemon Ginger Water Drink
Lemon Ginger water is an inexpensive anti-inflammatory drink with many benefits.
One advantage of this drink is its immune system-boosting capabilities. Ginger root and lemon contain antioxidants and vitamin C, which help boost your immune system. Drinking lemon ginger water regularly can help reduce common sicknesses such as the cold or the flu.
Lemon Ginger water is also known to help with digestion and weight loss. Ginger and lemon help produce digestive enzymes and aid in digestion, making them a good choice after a big meal.
Adding lemon and ginger to your water can make it tastier. Many people don’t drink enough water each day, so it’s a good idea to make this drink if you struggle to get in your daily recommended amount of water.
Lemon Ginger water also benefits the spirit and can help with mental wellbeing. You can’t be your best without feeling your best, and having something to help with hydration, digestion, and your immune system health are great reasons to consider adding this drink to your routine.

Tips to Create Your Drink
Go to your local store and pick out a few fresh lemons and ginger roots. If lemons aren’t in season, lemon juice will do.
Combine 5-6 cups of warm water with ginger root, lemon juice, or lemon water. The warm water helps to bring out the ginger flavor.
Use a vegetable peeler or spoon to peel the ginger if available, if not, leave the skin intact and slice the ginger root into thin slices.
After the mix has cooled to room temperature, put the pitcher in the fridge overnight and enjoy your fresh ginger lemon drink.
