What are the success secrets of millionaires and super-successful people?
From afar, it appears that success secrets have much to do with luck. You see this person living in a beautiful home, driving a nice car, taking amazing vacations, making significant money, and amassing serious wealth. I get it, and I, too, believed that their wealth came from luck or being born into it – until I witnessed firsthand valuable insight into the lives of millionaires.
Sure, some are luckier than others. But at a core level, their success (like yours) will always increase when action produces desired results.
I discovered everything has a formula: success vs. failure, millionaires vs. broke people. If you want different results, change your formula. Instead of using a formula that produces failure, use one that produces results.
Operating at Peak Performance
What is Peak Performance?
Peak performance is the highest level of effectiveness an individual can achieve in each task or activity. It occurs when someone is working at their best and achieving optimal results. While everyone has the potential to reach a state of peak performance, it requires practice and dedication to get there.
Many factors, including physical fitness, mental readiness, and proper nutrition, contribute to peak performance. Peak performers also have a positive attitude and can maintain focus despite distractions or adversity.
Achieving peak performance is not easy, but it is possible with hard work and determination. Those who reach this level of excellence often find the rewards well worth the effort.
If you want to succeed, one of the first steps is to operate at peak performance.
While there is no “one size fits all” regarding success secrets, there are clues that successful people (i.e., those who are wealthy, healthy, and fulfilled) share.
Sleep is critical to success because it allows us to operate at peak performance, both physically and mentally. Most experts recommend 7-8 ½ hours of sleep each night. Lack of sleep can lead to several health issues, including obesity, early Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, etc.
Anyone who wants to succeed and operate at their best must prioritize sleep. For years, I neglected my sleep until I read an article about a man who had been ill for over 15 years and was on the verge of death. He read an article about the importance of sleep to overall health and replaced his 4 hours of sleep per night with quality rest. He eventually regained his health and vitality. I then committed to getting quality sleep, but I had trouble doing so.
I tried numerous pillows and even purchased a high-end bed, but nothing helped. I was sleeping on a high-end memory foam pillow for a long time. A chiropractor shared that these pillows were terrible because they don’t allow your head to move. He recommended yet another pillow, and so I tried it.

Health – A secret to success
Growing up, I was constantly sick, from my tonsils being swollen 10 out of 12 months a year to having the flu and multiple colds. I would go to sleep and sleep for 20+ hours.
My diet was terrible and consisted of unhealthy carbohydrates and sugar, preservatives, and very little healthy food.
It wasn’t until college (when I began studying macrobiotics) that my entire life changed.
The key to optimal performance is to know your body and listen to what it needs.
I often found myself having trouble staying awake after lunch. Then I began eating a green hemp protein shake to break my intermittent fast (most days, I fast for 16 hours and eat during an 8-hour window). Click here to get my favorite hemp protein.
Interestingly, I started having more energy, my mind was clearer, and I felt wide awake. I also found that I didn’t crave a sweet treat after meals.
Sugar, carbs, and diet
Because I have blood sugar issues, I limit my sugar and net carbohydrates (carbohydrates less fiber equals net carbohydrates, which are sugar). And I feel great!
In addition to my protein shake, I drink 50% of my body weight in ounces of water each day, drink one cup of green tea, and one coconut or macadamia nut matcha latte. Mid-afternoon, I will have some celery, an apple with pecan or walnut butter, a handful of nuts, or some sardines.
I made it a priority once I learned that healthy fat is critical to operating at peak performance. Examples of healthy fats include avocados and avocado oil, coconuts, fish, and flax seeds. After adding this to my regular diet, I feel better, and my muscles feel great!

If I want a sweet snack, I eat a couple of pieces of dark chocolate with walnuts or pecans. I often make my dessert by melting Carob Chips and monk fruit and pouring over nuts.
If I am hungry after dinner, I drink organic, non-caffeinated peppermint tea that promotes sleep.
Thankfully, one of the success secrets I learned early in my career was the importance of sleep. As we discussed, experts recommend that you get 7-8 1/2 hours of quality sleep (that includes the time you are awake, which is typically about 30-90 minutes), so if you go to bed at 10:00 pm, you will need to sleep until 6:30 or 7:30 am, depending on the quality of sleep you get and how much time you spend awake at night.
I have always been athletic, having participated and won medals in the Junior Olympics as a runner. After knee surgery, I shifted to the elliptical machine, hiking and walking. I am obsessed with the mini elliptical. I have one at each home and office, and I love it. Click here to view it.

Recently, I started doing weight training three times per week. The first day was hell (excuse my language), but now, two weeks in, I feel great and have had three people tell me I look great and ask me what I am doing.

While many people know that having a positive outlook on life, a commitment, and focus on their goal are all critical, there is one secret many do not know. Successful people love the excitement of a new challenge and the exhilaration of achieving a goal.
One of the most essential skills you must develop to achieve amazing success, including a financially free life you love, is spending a significant amount of time on those boring and mundane tasks. By doing this, you can’t help but dramatically improve your odds of success.
Examples include managing your cash flow and finances, paying attention to the details, making follow-up calls, working out and eating well, making meditation, yoga or stretching a priority, etc.
Obviously, the activities, if you have a business, will be different, but the key is to identify and consistently complete them whether you feel like it or not.
